Ampacoll Connecto
Ampacoll® Primer Connecto acts as a base for bonds between Ampacoll® BK 530/535 butyl rubber tape or Ampacoll® XT and porous subsurfaces such as masonry, plaster, cement, untreated wood, soft wood fibre boards etc.
- Makes even difficult substrates easy to glue
- Primer coat is not sticky, does not catch dust or dirt
- High penetration, deep working
- Odourless
- Solvent-free

Processing instructions
Dirt and dust are simply part of life on a construction site. They are the reason why adhesives do not perform as you expect them to, or only partially so. Where required, the materials, fittings and surfaces to be bonded are to be cleaned so that they are clean and dry, and free of ice, dust and grease. Also check that the surface can bond properly. Rough or porous surfaces or ones that are not quite dust-free should be pretreated with primer. In practice, there is no other way to make sure they will bond and give a satisfactory result.
Ampacoll® Connecto is a primer for Ampacoll® Butyl Rubber Tapes and for Ampacoll® XT on porous surfaces such as brick, plaster, concrete, untreated timber, fiberboard etc. Shake can before use. Apply Ampacoll® Connecto thickly with a brush or a paint roller. Highly porous surfaces may need to be treated twice. Take care to apply evenly and allow to evaporate for at least 30 minutes. Depending on the temperature and the substrate, wait until the primer is transparent. Press the tape on firmly. After curing, Ampacoll® Connecto achieves a smooth film that does not remain sticky and has good resistance to water and heat. The non-tacky primer coat does not catch any dust and dirt.
Any fresh surplus of primer and brushes that have not yet thickened can be cleaned off with water. The safety data sheet for Ampacoll® Connecto can be found on the Internet.
