The protective function of a nail seal
What use is the best underlay, when screw or nail heads can allow water to penetrate? Ampacoll® ND / ND.Band / ND Duo nail seals guarantee a waterproof underlay. Twisted counter-battens, shrinking timber, extreme cycles of wet and dry, inadequate downward pressure, nails not working effectively in the rafters, mechanical loads arising from the use of trestles or pallets of brick, permanent snow covering – these are all potential causes of damage!

Ampacoll ND duo
Security is part of the system at Ampack. We cover the cost of removal and replacement, and consequential
damage, as well as the replacement materials.
Processing instructions
Option 1:
Mark out a line for each batten and glue Ampacoll® ND Duo directly onto the underlay material. Then fix the battens.
Option 2:
Apply Ampacoll® ND Duo directly to the battens. This can be carried out in the workshop. The battens can then be
easily moved around on the roofing membrane and positioned correctly. The liner can be easily removed from the side, without tearing.
Ampack recommends
Counter battens are subject to extreme cycles of wet and dry. For a better seal, screwing down the battens is preferable to nailing.
